We built Cittopia for the cities of tomorrow. Free for citizens to explore. Free for administrators to claim. Backed by the open data the world is already publishing — but no-one has stitched together. Until now.
Turn every city's open data into measurable urban climate action — and put it inside a working platform that municipalities can buy, deploy, and trust.
By 2030, Cittopia is the operating system for the urban climate transition — matching cities to peers, tracking carbon footprints transparently, and aligning every project to the UN SDGs.
Cittopia stitches together the open-data flood into a coherent urban operating system. Each pillar reinforces the others.
Every city, town and region with accessible open data gets a Cittopia profile — sourced from Eurostat plus 6 municipal open-data portals across 5 continents. Sources always cited.
AI-powered matchmaking weights your priorities to surface partner cities. Sister-city catalog, Inbox/Outbox messaging, joint-event invitations, anniversary auto-actions.
Transparent Pulse scoring across 6 dimensions plus 9 Quality-of-Life metrics. Cities compete for the annual Cittopia Trophy. 28+ achievement badges.
Every project, event and partnership tagged to the 17 UN SDGs. The SDG coverage heatmap shows your city exactly where it's leading and where to focus next.
Climate science is unambiguous. The EU Green Deal needs cities. The UN's 2030 SDG deadline is four years away. Cittopia is ready right now — built and running, not just slides.
Cittopia's MVP is live today. 30 demo city profiles. Real data from 7 open-data portals. A working AI matchmaking engine. A trophy cabinet with 28+ badges. The 9-phase roadmap is in motion — token launch unlocks at the 100-city milestone.
I started Cittopia because I'm tired of watching cities — the places where most of us actually live — get treated as line items in someone else's climate strategy. They are not the problem. They are the answer. But they need tools. And right now, the tools they have were built for someone else.
For the past year I've been building Cittopia — quietly, deliberately, and entirely with open data. 30 city profiles. 7 open-data portals. AI matchmaking. Quality of Life scoring. A trophy cabinet that turns carbon progress into something to be proud of. It works. It's running. You can see it today.
The platform is a SaaS — municipalities subscribe to claim, manage, match, and act on their data. Citizens always see the public profile for free. The next phase is putting Cittopia in front of the next 100 cities — translating, localising, onboarding the administrators who will use it day to day.
If this resonates with you, the simplest thing you can do is show your belief — sign your name, share with one mayor's office, put your city on the list.

Citizens explore for free. Cities subscribe to the SaaS. Institutions partner for scale. Three audiences, one platform, one shared purpose.
Want to put your city on the list, but not ready for a subscription?
Show your interest on the Proof of Belief page — it's free.
Public profiles are free for citizens to view — always. Every city with accessible open data gets an auto-generated public profile. The full platform (verification, AI matchmaking, project board, joint events, trophy cabinet, analytics) is a SaaS subscription for municipalities. The CTP token economy adds citizen-facing rewards once 100 cities are onboarded.
Every figure on Cittopia is sourced from a publicly accessible portal — the source link is visible on every city profile. We currently integrate Eurostat Urban Audit, Dubai Pulse, NYC OpenData, Seoul Open Data Plaza, data.gov.sg, Buenos Aires Datos, Cape Town Open Data Portal and OpenStreetMap. New portals are added on request.
Phase 5 of the roadmap — the Cittopia Token (CTP) launch — is gated by reaching 100 verified municipalities. The token rewards cities for data contributions and citizens for sustainable behaviour (using public transport, joining clean-up drives, switching to renewables). Built on Solana for low-cost, high-throughput transactions.
Pulse (CityPulse Point system) is fully transparent — methodology is open, scores are percentile-ranked across the cohort, and every input indicator is traceable to its source. It also adjusts for city size: smaller cities get fairer treatment because participation is weighted by population tier.
Not yet. Cittopia is independent. Phase 9 of the roadmap targets formal partnership with UN-Habitat and EU Mission Cities — a strategic alignment we're actively pursuing through our partnerships outreach.
Absolutely — be a Cittopian. Sign your name on the Proof of Belief page, share with one mayor's office, champion your home city's onboarding, or contribute to localisation. No money required — just belief and word of mouth.
The cities of tomorrow are listening. Show your belief — it costs nothing and signals everything.
