1. What cookies are
Cookies are tiny text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences (such as login state, language, font size) over time, so you don't have to keep re-entering them.
Cittopia also uses similar technologies including localStorage (browser storage) and sessionStorage — these store information directly in your browser without sending it to our servers.

4. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services that may set cookies:
- Google Analytics 4 — only loads when you accept analytics cookies. IPs are anonymised. Data retention: 14 months. Google's privacy policy
- Google Fonts — fonts loaded from Google's CDN. Google may log the request. Google's privacy policy
- jsDelivr / unpkg CDNs — for libraries (Bootstrap, Lucide icons, Leaflet). These don't set cookies but log requests.
Cittopia does not use Facebook Pixel, X/Twitter pixels, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any other ad-network tracker.
5. How to manage cookies
5.1 In Cittopia
Click the Cookie Settings button at the top of this page (or in the cookie banner that appeared on your first visit) to update your choices any time.
5.2 In your browser
You can also block or delete cookies entirely via your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in as a city administrator. Useful guides:

You can withdraw consent at any time. Click the Cookie Settings button above, untick the categories you no longer wish to allow, and save. Existing analytics cookies will be removed and the script unloaded for the rest of your session.
