Onboarding
A new pilot city goes from "first email" to "fully themed dashboard with live data" in approximately 12 working days.
The four onboarding phases #
- Day 1–2 · Discovery call. 60-minute conversation with city CIO + open-data lead. We map out which datasets exist, which need to be released, and which roles to provision.
- Day 3–7 · Data ingestion. We pull from the city's open-data portal (or, for Eurostat-covered cities, the Urban Audit). Build the city profile, compute initial Pulse, run data-confidence checks.
- Day 8–10 · Theming. Brand the admin chrome with the municipality's coat of arms, primary/secondary colours, and official designation. See city-theme.js for the technical implementation.
- Day 11–12 · Credential dispatch & training. Issue handles + authentication keys to named staff. 90-minute training session covering dashboard, matchmaking, sister-cities hub, project boards.
What we need from the municipality #
- Named contact at City Administrator level.
- Open-data portal URL (or commitment to publish key datasets).
- Coat of arms in SVG, plus primary/accent colour hex codes.
- List of staff to provision (name, official email, role).
- Optional: list of sister cities to link.
